We're looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to help deliver cloud projects for our enterprise customers. You'll work with senior engineers to build secure, scalable platforms across multiple cloud providers, mainly AWS and Azure. You'll grow your skills in platform engineering, Kubernetes, and customer delivery along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of cloud platform projects, from design through implementation and handover, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Take part in customer workshops and discovery sessions, including gathering technical information and documenting current environments.
- Help implement landing zones on AWS (Control Tower, Organizations) and Azure (Enterprise-Scale / CAF) using established patterns.
- Configure and support cloud networking, including VPCs/VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, hub-and-spoke architectures, and hybrid connectivity.
- Support enterprise migration projects by running assessments, preparing migration plans, and carrying out workload migrations.
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters on platforms such as EKS, AKS, ROSA, ARO, and Rancher.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
- Assist with GitLab deployments for enterprise customers, including Reference Architecture implementations.
- Help implement backup, hybrid, and disaster recovery solutions that meet customer RTO/RPO requirements.
- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep/ARM.
- Provide technical updates to customers and the project team, and produce clear documentation.
- Contribute to internal best practices, runbooks, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with solid working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure.
- Understanding of core cloud networking concepts (subnets, routing, VPNs, security groups/NSGs, DNS).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally with at least one managed platform (EKS, AKS, or similar).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Exposure to cloud migrations, landing zones, or hybrid environments is a strong plus.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a senior, customer-facing engineering role.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), CKA/CKAD, or other AWS, Azure, Red Hat, or GitLab certifications.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift (ROSA/ARO) or Rancher.
- Exposure to GitLab self-managed deployments, Reference Architectures (e.g., 3K, CNH), or the GitLab Environment Toolkit (GET).
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
