Iskaan – Modernizing SDLC with iCode by Integra on AWS

Iskaan is a UAE-based real estate technology platform that brings together communities, property managers, vendors, and tenants through a seamless digital ecosystem. Designed to simplify property management and enhance community engagement, the platform provides a wide range of features such as service requests, financial management, compliance tracking, facility booking, and real-time communication tools. By integrating with government regulatory systems like Mollak and EmiratesID, Iskaan ensures compliance with local requirements while empowering property managers to operate more efficiently and tenants to enjoy a transparent, user-friendly experience.

As Iskaan’s customer base grew rapidly across the region, the platform faced rising demands for scalability, reliability, and security. This expansion created new challenges around service uptime, operational governance, and cost optimization—pushing Iskaan to re-evaluate its technology strategy. 

To support this growth journey, Iskaan sought to modernize its software development lifecycle (SDLC) by adopting GenerativeAI with cloud-native practices, automation, and DevOps-driven processes for faster, more secure, and more reliable delivery.

The Challenge

Like many fast-growing platforms, Iskaan’s SDLC had gaps that slowed progress:

  • Requirements were scattered across documents and channels, making traceability difficult.
  • Design reviews were time-consuming, often delaying approvals.
  • Infrastructure provisioning took weeks, relying on manual setup.
  • Debugging and cost tracking were reactive, limiting visibility and control.

The Solution

Integra implemented iCode platform within Iskaan’s AWS account, providing an end-to-end AI-Powered SDLC framework using AWS generative AI services with automation and role-based access. The iCode platform on AWS mainly uses Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Business and Amazon Q Developer to deliver the foundational capabilities listed to the right.

  • Requirements: Jira Agent was introduced to create and manage epics, user stories, and tasks, giving teams clear traceability of business requirements. Confluence was set up as the central knowledge base, providing a single source of truth for user stories, business rules, and supporting documentation.
  • Design: AWS Architecture Generator enabled secure, scalable, cloud-native designs aligned with AWS best practices. GitHub MCP was used to peer-review design artifacts, while iCode’s automation streamlined the creation of structured Design Documents, reducing preparation time and ensuring standardization.
  • Development: The Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Generator automated AWS resource provisioning, cutting setup time from weeks to hours. GitHub MCP handled source code, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines, while the AWS Pricing Calculator Agent helped developers validate cost-effective design choices.
  • Operations: AWS Cost Explorer provided real-time spend visibility, the Application & Server Log Analyzer improved anomaly detection and debugging, and AWS Docs Integration supported faster troubleshooting.
  • Support: Jira Agent tracked incidents and bugs, Confluence stored runbooks and troubleshooting guides, and the Log Analyzer enabled both live and historical log analysis.
  • Cross-Cutting: Role-Based Access with Bedrock AgentCore ensured developers, architects, managers, and support engineers had tools aligned with their roles and responsibilities.
